Reading Half Marathon part 2…

Ran, jog, plod, but no walking…

All in 2 hours and 12 minutes (and 7 seconds for those who think that part matter)…

I have aches in places I didn’t know existed…

Rubbish…

For being the Head of English at a school, in a country, where the language was supposedly first developed, mine (or perhaps my proofreading skills) is appalling…

I hope they never realise this.

Am thinking maybe I should have stayed in The Library than get into this line…

On Saturday while I was running, this song came on… It makes me nostalgic of some really good times while I was living in Dayton, but also reminds me of the one gig I played in Columbus. It was a songwriter’s in the round, and I was playing with with two guys, one whose name I think was Micah and at the end of the set he played ‘In Ohio on Some Steps’. By the first chorus he asked me to start singing along by singning the harmony, which I did pretty damn good, I think… (it’s a nostalgic memory and the rose tinted glasses are definitely craddling the tip of my nose here)…

It was a good few moments… And Saturday, while I ran through Reading on a crisp autumn morning, I nearly relived it…

Highlights from Green Man Festival 2011.

Great weekend. When I wake up, maybe I will go into more detail.

…better than I did Latitude.

Latitude Festival, 2011
I am far too tired and sore to give a review that would do this last weekend any justice. However, the wind and rain that came in on Saturday and stayed around the bulk of Sunday and this morning did little to damper too many spirits.
So in the meantime (I say that without the hint of irony) I shall leave you with a photo of the Dessner brothers doing an interview before their headling slot on Friday evening.
